Common Warning Signs:
Strokes are often called "silent killers" because many
times there are no symptoms. Abdominal aortic aneurysms are just as deadly and
even harder to detect without preventative screenings. Here are a few of the
common warning signs and symptoms for stroke, abdominal aortic aneurysms,
peripheral vascular disease and osteoporosis:
• Sudden weakness or
numbness of the face, arms or legs, particularly on one side of the body
• Sudden severe headache or pain, with no
known cause
• Dizziness or loss of balance
• Intense back or abdominal pain
• Rapid pulse
• Nausea and vomiting
• Pain during exercise, which is relieved
during rest
• Constant leg pain, tingling, burning or
loss of sensation
• Bone fractures, especially of the hip,
spine or wrist
